Notes On Tickets:
Thank you to everyone who has purchased tickets so far! We are deeply appreciative of the excitement and support for NYC Doll Con. We are looking forward to next April.
We are so thankful for the interest, enthusiasm, and trust shown for our events. It is hard to believe that we have been able to grow so much going into our third year. We promise that all the decisions we make regarding ticket sales, venue, and event organization always have the attendee experience as our focus, even as we balance logistics, workload, and finances behind the scenes.
It is our goal to always grow in ways that will benefit the community and bring hobbyists together. Realistically, the demand for this event may always be larger than the capacity of any given venue. For our current venue, we cannot add additional attendee tickets without exceeding the legal capacity of the space. Venues in NYC can charge tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars for weekend rentals, and we are very satisfied with the home base that Industry City has provided us. Scaling presents both logistical staffing concerns (such as how many volunteers we need) and financial ones (such as possibly needing to increase ticket prices to pay for a larger venue). Our (very small) staff works on this event year-round, which includes venue scouting, budgeting, planning, networking within and beyond the hobby, and learning from other conventions, markets, and events.
As we have always said, this convention is a labor of love and a celebration of our community. We are continuing to grow and learn together and we are forever thankful that this dream has become such a beautiful reality.
More Notes On Tickets:
VIP passes are limited to 100, and other tickets will be capped to meet the capacity limits of our event space. Once they are sold out, we cannot add more.
At this time, we do not plan on selling tickets at the convention. If tickets do not sell out prior to the convention, they will close a week before the event.
Tickets may be resold, but the transfer window to sell closes a week prior to the 2027 Con date. Please exercise caution when buying and selling tickets. Order numbers can always be verified via email by NYC Doll Con Staff.
Important Ticket Update!
Please note that for the 2027 event, Eventbrite is set to one ticket per transaction.
To clarify, this does NOT mean one ticket per person! You are more than welcome to purchase multiple tickets; they just need to be bought in separate transactions.
We are implementing this change for two major reasons:

Fraud Prevention: Limiting transactions helps us protect our community from scammers, who frequently try to sell multiple fake tickets at once.

Easier Transfers: In the past, Eventbrite wouldn't allow us to split a single ticket off from a larger order. Individual transactions will make the ticket transfer process much smoother for everyone if your plans change.
Please note, splitting transactions will not cause an increase in fees/taxes.

We are officially sold out of passes for this year’s convention! We are so excited for everyone who will be joining us in this community event!
Reminder! Tickets are non-refundable but they are transferable.
Swag bags cannot be shipped.VIP bags are limited to one per attendee. VIP swag bags must be claimed in person by the ticket holder. We will not ship or permit 'pick ups'.
If you are no longer able to attend you are able to resell your ticket. We ask you do not charge more than what you paid for the ticket to keep this event as accessible as possible for everyone.
Once you find a buyer for your ticket, please email us from the same email you purchased your ticket from, including the order number, as well as the new buyer’s full name & email address. Please then allow 2-3 business days to make the transfer.
You will be able to transfer a ticket up to April 2, 2027.
If you are buying a resale ticket, please use good judgement: ask for proof of purchase, ask questions about the event, & check to see if they are a member of the community.
You may contact us with their email & we can confirm if they have an order through Eventbrite.
We have been made aware that multiple people have been scammed with fake convention tickets via Reddit, Instagram, and Facebook. Buyers need to be EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS when buying tickets secondhand. We are extremely saddened this has happened, but we cannot do anything to help after the fact. We are very much able to help BEFORE the transaction takes place by confirming if a ticket/order is real in the first place.
We highly suggest not paying for a ticket before reaching out to and confirming with nycdollconvention@gmail.com that it is a real ticket being offered by a legitimate seller via telling us the seller’s email and order number.
Furthermore:
• Check to see if the seller is in the BJD hobby. Ask them how many years they’ve been in the hobby, look for photos of their dolls in their avatar/profile.
• There is NO FEE associated with changing the name on the tickets. We’ve requested that tickets be sold at cost and we really appreciate the community adhering to this.
• Eventbrite or their customer service is NOT INVOLVED in changing the tickets, NYC Doll Con staff are the only ones able to change tickets. When a new ticket is issued, it is issued with the email and name of the new ticket holder directly from Eventbrite.
• While it seems like good judgement to request a screenshot as proof of the ticket, the scammers are using fake screenshots with blacked out information. Be suspicious if a buyer refuses to share the email the ticket was purchased under or the order number. Alternative ‘proof’ like a phone number is a good indication of a scammer, as it is information we do not collect, as is pushiness or a tight time window in which the money must be sent, or a non-refundable method of payment.
We cannot honor counterfeit tickets. Anyone with a counterfeit ticket will not be able to gain access to the event with it. If you suspect you have a counterfeit ticket, please reach out to us.
We also want to flag for everyone that ticket transfers are ending after April 3rd. If you can no longer attend the event after April 2, 2027 please contact nycdollconvention@gmail.com
