This 2026 the NYC Doll Convention will be located at Industry City, a sprawling and vibrant creative campus. We will be hosting the convention in the 52A event space, located in building 5.

Industry City is home to all the best small local businesses Brooklyn has to offer; independent artisans, food halls, restaurants, and Japan Village.

52A is a beautiful, expansive loft, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water. Panels will be held in an on-site adjacent theater space from Brooklyn One.

Address:

The convention will not be running a snack bar,  but we encourage guests to support the myriad of food options at the nearby restaurants, food halls, and Japan Village. Outside food & drinks are permitted in the event venue, including ordering takeout via delivery apps.

We will have a limited number of tables & chairs and cannot guarantee space for dining inside our event space. We ask that guests be mindful of their trash. Thank you!

The three main airports in the NYC area are JFK, LaGuardia (LGA), and Newark Airport (EWR). All are international airports. We cannot give specific advice as to which airport is best for you as that will be dependent on where you choose to stay, but the closest airport to the venue is LaGuardia, then JFK, then Newark Airport. All three airports have public transit options that link to the subway system.

Amtrak trains arrive at Moynihan Station in Midtown Manhattan. Moynihan Station is connected to the subway system, as well as the main commuter lines (Metro North, NJ Transit, and Long Island Rail Road) either directly or through the subway system.

The closest subway station is the 36th Street station, served by the D, N, and R trains. This station is located on Fourth Avenue and 36th Street in Brooklyn. Additionally, buses like B35, B37, and B70 also provide access to Industry City.

Uber and Lyft are widely available in the city but can be expensive.

Yellow (Manhattan based) and green (Brooklyn) cabs are also options for transport to the venue, but are very limited, especially around the venue itself. You may be able to hail a cab from where you are staying, but do not depend on one to get you back there at the end of the day from the venue.

Parking details to be added soon.

Whatever method you choose to get to us, we highly suggest planning it out beforehand to minimize stress on the day of.

Don’t let our reputation fool you, New Yorkers are very helpful, and you will be able to get directions should you get lost on the subways!

Travel
Hotels.png

For the 2027 convention, we are exploring room blocks at local hotels. If there is a hotel you stayed at in the past and loved, let us know. Currently we've reserved a special NYC Doll Con room block at the NU Hotel Brooklyn (85 Smith Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201).

Our room block is available April 16th-19th, 2027.

The Nu Hotel is a boutique hotel and is about a 20 minute subway ride from Industry City. While it is not the closest hotel to the venue, it's a 4 star hotel. Walk a few minutes to the Borough Hall or Jay St–MetroTech subway stations and take the R train to 36th Street. From there, it's approximately a 8 minute walk to Industry City.

By rideshare or driving: Driving typically takes 15–20 minutes, depending on traffic, and is a convenient option if you're traveling with dolls.

Uber or Lyft Fares generally range from $15–30.

There is no minimum stay requirement, so whether you're joining us for one night or the entire convention, you can book the dates that work best. All room rates include:

  • Continental breakfast each morning

  • Premium Wi-Fi access for all your devices

  • Complimentary coffee and tea available throughout the day

To reserve your room, simply book through THIS link which will take you to the NU Hotel block.

Alternatively you can call them (718) 852-8585  and mention "NYC Doll Con" to receive the convention rate. While these rates are locked in until March 17th, 2027 and will not change, we recommend booking early, as rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis while the room block lasts.

Beyond this, as New Yorkers ourselves, we can make general suggestions based on our own experience or pointers from the venue, however, if you would like to stay in a particular area of the city or have a favorite hotel brand already, don’t let us limit you!  The only thing we would suggest is keeping an eye on transit options to get you from where you’re staying to the convention. Please consider using public transit or rideshare services.

The area & surrounding neighborhood are very safe but as precaution, we will have professional security stationed at the main entrance, exits of the venue, as well as as multiple indoor and outdoor security cameras. Spaces that we have not explicitly contracted (such as the food court) are open to the public.
